OK, let’s be honest: we all KNOW that sleep is critical for athletes. But did you know that getting enough sleep can keep you from getting sick? OK, you probably knew that too, but there’s new research that confirms it. And while it’s one of those ‘duh’ things, let’s be honest, most of us could stand to

A) get more sleep

B) get better sleep

So, I did a quick dive into the new science, and put together some of my best tips for better sleeping over on MapMyRun. The nice thing is that you can spend a crapload of cash on sleeping accessories, or you can get 97% of the way to optimal sleep for next to nothing. So it’s arguably the cheapest performance enhancer around, if you’re willing to dedicate the time to actually getting those hours of shut-eye.
