Training Takeaways From Running Around the World
I was lucky enough to get to chat with a runner who’s run around the world, Becky Wade (who wrote a rad book about her experiences!) for an article for MapMyRun—a look at training around the world, and the differences between countries (plus some takeaways that we should be thinking about). One of my favorites was that in a lot of places Becky ran, the runners weren’t numbers-obsessed. There weren’t daily hunts for Strava KOMs, there weren’t concerns about holding perfect paces. As someone who is decidedly not glued to the data, I loved this.
