Training Plateaus, Supplements and Post-Workout Meals for Busy People on The Consummate Athlete Podcast
Last week on The Consummate Athlete Podcast, we talked all about if you’re in a Training Plateau, Supplements and Post-Workout Meals for Busy People. All three of these are really near and dear to my heart—I spent YEARS feeling like I was plateaued with health/fitness/training, but looking back, very few times would have been actual plateaus. More often, I was facing mental blocks, dealing with overtraining and fatigue, or sticking to the same routines every single day/week and still somehow expecting to get better.
As we get into supplements, we aren’t looking at specific ones (though we mention a couple). Instead, we wanted to talk through how to think critically about any supplement being sold to you. Basically, what is the research saying, what are the promises specific to YOU as an athlete and YOUR goals, how expensive is it and is there a better use of that cash, plus a few other tips.
And last, we talk recovery meals for busy people who need to get on with their day post-workout, AKA one of the few times that a smoothie might be the best solution.
