Speedwork That Every Runner Can (and Should!) Do

I am a runner (and cyclist) who really, really hates speedwork. Seriously, ask me about my last interval workout (at least, before I committed to my new coach back in November). I genuinely couldn’t have told you when it was. That’s why my tendency has been to stick to feats of endurance—ultras, ironman, that kind of thing. But after a heart-to-heart with my coach (more on him in a full post coming soon!), I realized it was time to come to terms with the fact that being a fast racer—at any distance—means that speedwork is a must. Cue sad trombones. Of course, that meant writing about it, so over at MapMyRun, I talked to some very smart people about the speedwork that every runner, regardless of distance or style, should be doing.
