Molly often hosts training and nutrition talks, or hosts “Ladies Night” talks at bike shops and to cycling clubs for women to have an open forum to chat about everything from periods and cramping to in-ride nutrition in a safe, fun space. Cycling coach Peter Glassford (Molly’s husband) and Molly have traveled extensively around North America giving their “Becoming the Consummate Athlete” talk at different studies, bike shops, book stores, libraries and athletic retailers.
Talk topics have ranged from training tips for busy people, advice on increasing strength and endurance, a movement-based approach to fitness and life, sports and general nutrition, and cycling-specific advice that, frankly, you can’t get anywhere else. Talks get loud, they get funny, and they get seriously insightful—and no crowd is too big or too small.
(Even if we can’t fit an in-person chat into our schedule because of travel (though we try to get all over the world!), doing a remote talk via Skype or web conferencing software is also a possibility, and it can work great! You can read about one of the remote conferences here.)
Molly and Peter also host single or multi-day cycling skills clinics for mountain biking and cyclocross, for unisex or women’s-only groups, so if you’re interested in improving your club or team’s cycling skills, or want to host something through your local bike shop, get in touch!
