A Few Signs Your Training Is Working … Other Than Your Pace
It’s pretty awesome when a thing you write actually starts showing up in your life: After months of rehabbing a nagging knee injury, I’m finally starting to see really big improvements in my training in a lot of ways (including my pace!), and it’s the more subtle signs that my training is working that have a) kept me on track and motivated and b) have me feeling really good right now. Over at MapMyRun, I listed out a bunch of them, from feeling less exertion after certain runs to simply waking up with more energy. It was really fun to dive into what these subtle signs are, and even better to start experiencing them on my own. Check it out and let me know if you have any others you would add!
(Another good indicator, but more subtle: good bloodwork. Check out our podcast with runner Jonathan Levitt for more on that!)
