6 Rules to Follow When Running with a Pack
I really love the idea of ultra-running… I admit, a marathon has been the longest race I’ve done, but there’s a lot I’m working on planning for this summer and fall. And that means, in addition to getting my legs ready to go long on trails, I need to get better at running with a hydration pack. I do run a lot with my Camelbak, but when I got it, I actually tossed the hydration bladder because I wanted to use the pack for for running errands—quick stops at the grocery store, etc.—so I could do those while I worked out. (It was a great pack, and could hold 2 bottles of wine!) But now, I need to get serious about using a pack to actually help my running, not just speed my day along, so I turned to MapMyRun, checked in with some ultra-running experts, and got some awesome advice. Now, I just need to pull the trigger and buy a new one! If you’re in the same boat, check out their suggestions for running with a pack and going long:
