I’ve been reading a ton of travel tips with the holidays coming up, and to be honest, so many of them are celebrity-oriented and as such, they’re a little ridiculous. If you’re crammed in economy seating, you know that doing a soothing face mask, taking off your shoes and socks (OK, I *do* take off my shoes, shh!), or slathering yourself in lotion while in flight isn’t really realistic. It’s uncomfortable and often you’re stuck next to someone you’d rather not be next to, but there is light at the end of the tunnel!
Love this // I’ve been doing morning yoga a lot lately (just short 6-8 minute videos, but still!), and I am so excited that this weekend I’m heading into NYC to go to a Strala Yoga class that Tara Stiles is teaching, and then interview her afterwards for a Bicycling piece (and hopefully some extra content for this blog!). That’s the best part about traveling a lot: getting to check out cool stuff like Tara’s class when I happen to be in the right spot.
Drink this // Greens juice and a clean, natural protein powder. OK, it’s not super exciting, but because I’ve been traveling so much, it’s really nice to know that most of my major nutritional needs are covered, especially when airline meals are the alternative options. I use Green Vibrance, and while it’s not the best-tasting, it works really well for making me feel like I’m doing something good for my body—and it has probiotics! Protein powder-wise, I really love Vega protein powders—the Vega founder Brendan Brazier is a great guy and a fun interview too! Plus, they come in single serve packets, which makes travel a bit easier and less messy.
