Travel is the Buzzword This Month

You may have noticed in recent weeks, there have been more and more regular articles popping up on this blog. That’s not a random, happy accident, it’s a more concerted effort on my part to make this blog into somewhere people actually visit and check out regularly, and a hub for what I’m learning in my various travels and adventures.

With that in mind, I’m testing out a series of mini-themes on a monthly basis. All of the content that goes up won’t revolve around the month’s ‘buzzword,’ but a lot of it will, and you can expect meatier, longer articles about whatever that particular topic is.

So, I decided to kick it off with one that’s obviously near and dear to my heart, and one that’s coming up quite a bit throughout January as I get from the East Coast to the West Coast by way of Belgium. (Confused? Don’t worry about it.)

Travel.

I admit, I write what I like to read, and I am a huge, huge, huge fan of any article about travel I can get my hands on. Not destination pieces (though they’re fun as well). I’m talking about pieces on how to travel. If there’s one thing I love, it’s a good packing list. I even have one that I designed for myself this season, laminated and tucked in my agenda. I am a dork of epic proportions when it comes to the perfect carry-on (even if I rarely nail it), eating in airports (I had a croissant today, but chased it with hard boiled eggs), and how to get through a really, really long drive (don’t fall into the “You always” trap). You’d think after almost 8 years on the road, I’d have things dialed, but the truth is, I’m still learning a ton, so this is going to be a fun month of sharing some of the realizations I’ve had along the way.

Before this kick off, get excited and caught up on what I’ve written travel-wise recently!

Let me know in the comments: What would you like to see this month?
