Picking the Perfect Running Mantra
Ever start a run and feel a little… less than motivated? (Of course you have. Everyone does.) You may need a running mantra.
So, while podcasts and kick-ass playlists are awesome, they won’t do you much good when it comes to race day, and honestly, the best runs—and the most head-clearing ones—that I’ve had have been when my headphones died and it was just me and my thoughts. Having an amazing running mantra—think moving meditation—can be a gamechanger when it comes to reviving your enthusiasm and making the run feel a lot less crappy. It’s astounding how much different your legs can feel when you change your headspace.
