This week on the Consummate Athlete Podcast, we were all about cyclocross skills, from how to handle starts, to remount and dismount mistakes and best practices, drills for improving those skills and others, managing a hectic race day, and how to make the most of your time training throughout the fall. Cyclocross season has been going for a month now, but it’s really just getting started — and the hard part is still not here yet. It’s easy to talk about cyclocross race prep when it’s still warm and sunny, but the biggest challenges come when the races get muddier (especially for those with no pit crew and only one bike!) and the temperatures drop (hello, fall!). So, we get into dealing with bad weather as well. You guys know how much I love cyclocross, so this episode was particularly fun for me!
